Keytruda mechanics is based on preventing the T-Cell Blocker cell from having the T- Killer Cell (immune system) to fight the cancer cell... Since hbvers have their immune system supressed by the hbsag secretion, would it be enough to use Keytruda to fight liver cancer (HCC) if needed? Or since the immune system is supressed by the hbsag, you will need to combine Keytruda with a drug like ARC-520 to silent the hbsag gene expression, and that way you could have the immune system fight the cancer cells? I guess it's a little but more complex since there is also viral infected cells.
Would be interesting to hear stef/studyforhope opinions about this.
Btw, are there any active clinical trials about Keytruda effectiveness against HCC with or without ARC-520?
Thanks!
