Zadaxin (Thymosin alpha-1): anybody tried this drug?

this drug is approved in the following countries to treat Hep. b:
Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Dominican Republic, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam.

ZADAXIN is the synthetic version of thymosin alpha 1, a substance found naturally in the circulation and produced in the body's thymus gland. ZADAXIN stimulates the immune system by affecting T cells and NK cells, which are the body's most potent defense against infectious diseases. It is this ability to act as an immunomodulator that makes ZADAXIN a promising therapy for such a wide variety of clinical conditions.

ZADAXIN is approved in over 30 countries worldwide for five different clinical indications (shown in table below). Currently approved indications are:

    * Chronic Hepatitis B
    * Chronic Hepatitis C
    * Cancer Adjuvant
    * Vaccine Enhancer
    * Immunostimulant

but this drug is only approveed in the US to treat liver cancer.

anybody has any experience with this drug? Thank you.

Stefano. Why do you think that by itself zadaxin wont work?

Our immune system is smart. If we detox the body and stimulate the immune system it does wonder. Look at the pioneering cancer  treatment research. A lot of what they are doing overlaps with our disease.

i followed this drug from many years ago since the drug is around from 2000 or even earlier, it can boost the response of immune modulators like interferon but used as monotherapy it is useless.

many of the studies are made also in italy and probably by my doctors too but i never asked because it is very expensive here compared to the weak effect, it is approved in italy but not free by healthcare system since the weak results.another problem is that many of the studies were not correct so the results were rejected

it has absolutely no sides so it is good to use in combo with interferon and maybe ntz too, probably useless with etv and tnf

a member from vietnam made a combo of tnf+lam+Thymomodulin and probably this is why he got very low hbsag and now he is seroconverting (tnf+lam might also make low hbsag and seroconvert but this is rare)
i was trying to understand if Thymomodulin and zadaxin are similar but i'd never try Thymomodulin since it is extracted from animals and i am afraid of infections from this

Thymomodulin is not approved in europe probably because extracted from animals but zadaxin is safe and synthetic
