Right, I was married and 3 months pregnant.  If my husband had divorced me out of fear I would have been in bad shape and we wouldn't be celebrating our 11th anniversary this year or have two more super cute kids.

In your first post you said, “My boyfriend was recently told he may Hep b….”. I am not sure what you mean by this, but I read it as meaning that he may NOT have Hep B.

Your nurse friend should have given you the same advice as cajim. Just make sure you have been vaccinated and have immunity, and then don’t worry about it.

Especially in this modern age of vaccines, there is NO reason that HBV should stand in the way of peoples love for each other. True love does not know these boundaries….but ignorance does.

Try putting yourself in you boyfriends position. I can’t imagine how I would have felt if when I found out I had Hep, my wifes friends started telling her to divorce me.

No, if you are immune, the virus will be killed in your system.

If you are anti-HBs positive, you should not be scared because you are immune to HBV.

Test your HBsAg and anti-HBs.  If you have HBsAg negative and anti-HBs positive, then you are safe.  His HBV cannot hurt you because you are immune.  If you only have HBsAg negative and the anti-HBs is also negative, then hurry, get vaccinated till you have anti-HBs positive.

Best.
