very interesting trial since Minimal Hepatic Encephalopathy is present not only in cirrhosis but also on much less damaged liver
so for those under ntz as antiviral to clear hbv the association of Lactobacillus Reuteri and other probiotics is probably very good to lessen oxidative stress on the liver and help lessen or reduce fibrosis.

at the moment i am using the following probiotics:
Enterogermina: spores of bacillus clausii (antibiotic resistant probiotic)
VSL3: lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, streptococcus thermofilus,b.lonum,b.breve,b.infantis,lactobacillus acidophilus,lactobacillus plantarum, paracasei, delbrueckii, bulgaricus

it is healthy bacteria in the stomach that helps our immune system to kill dangerous bacteria and viruses that might enter the body from the stomach.
so since ntz on some patients kills healthy bacteria in the stomach together with the bad one you need to balance and reuteri is healthy bacteria to do this

i have seen it is the most rsistant bacteria to antibiotics so probably resistent to ntz too

you don't need it, it is needed if you get diarrea taking ntz at highest dose or if you want to try if it clears encephalopathy but this is a condition on advanced cirrhosis on less liver damage it is mild

i guess most of us has experienced little encephalopathy from time to time, it is when the brains work bad: when you drive the car but you respond very slow, when people talk and you don't understand etc....it is like when you are a little drunk or very tired but you are not drunk nor tired it is just the blood that has not been cleared by the liver from toxic substances that reach the brain

what is reuteri bacillus?? is it anykind of antibiotic?

i do suggest to take reuteri bacillus to all taking ntz
