check for hep b dna quantative by pcr, its gives no. of virus present in blood, its the best marker to know whether hep b is there or not, specially in your case where there is doubt about hbsag presence (nonreactive/ low hbsag). it will be very useful in your case though test is quite costly.

Hello,
Hepatitis B virus is transmitted by exposure to infectious blood or body fluids like semen and vaginal fluids. Most of the cases of hepatitis B cure spontaneously and may not require treatment. You may need a repeat test after 6 months to see whether you have cleared the virus or if the infection is persisting. If you have been cleared of the virus you should not worry. Your present status of hep B infection is important No individual can be declared unfit to work without appropriate medical evaluation and counseling. Do write to me again with more queries.
Best wishes and regards!
