Hi anap911,
I am not in any treat now, I just so worry the pills will hurt the baby,
if you plan to have a baby, you must talk to your doctor, you may stop taking the medicine for a few months then you can plan to have a baby, anyway, how long have you in treatment with Baraclude ?talk to your doctor, he/she will give you advise, but don't rush to have a baby till you are healthy.Good luck to you.

Hi steven, thank you for your time and advise, I couldn't see the Dr.last week, he's away
for the vacation(he forgot my appointment), maybe I just stay like this till my baby coming, because I always worry the pills will harm the unborn baby, thank you all you guys spend the time for me, I feel warm with this group.

Hopefully you saw your doctor and got good advice.

I read some time ago that Tyzeka is a good med to take for HepB if you are pregnant.  And those pregnant should really take it at the third trimester, maybe even just during the last month or so.  The point of treatment is not to "cure" your HepB but to bring down the viral count during delivery.  With the shots that the baby take after birth, it's almost guranteed that your new baby will be HepB free.

I don't really know if Viread or Baraclude is better in your case so ask your doctor.  I would be concern about taking Epivir since you have a large viral load.  You don't want to chance a viral mutation by taking Epivir.  But if the plan is to take it for a month or two, even Epivir may be okay.

Hi Bram & bberry,
thank you for your advise, wish you guys can understand my poor English, I am confusion cause I worry the meds will harm the baby, so far the results not showing it is safe during pregnancy and the unborn baby, all labels "should be use only when clearly needed during pregnancy".I will see the Gastroenterology doctor this Sunday, helpfully he can discuss the risks and benefits for me. thanks again.

discuss baraclude with your doctor as it has the least ratio of resistance

also, make sure ur baby gets the first shot of hepb vaccine within the first two hours after he or she is born..

i dont think you have a choice in taking meds at this point but i have to agree with bram u should have followed with your condition much earlier and not waited til its 33 weeks into your pregnancy

good luck with new baby and take care of  your health. follow your doctor's advise and make sure you see a hepatologist or at least a gastreonologist not   just a primary doctor  as most of them have no clue about hepb

You are close to delivery, you need to be monitored by a doctor.

Viread is considered safe but a category B drug during pregnancy. Means results are not certain. I wish you had taken the meds early on ...

Having said that - please check with your doctor and see how to protect your child.
Viread/Baraclude are very effective (you could even take both of them).
