Gallbladder stone removal on HBV patients

Hi,

I was diagnosed with HBV 15 years back and after treatment doctors informed me that the same cannot be cured and the virus will be there till my life and there will be no harm.

But now recently i was diagnosed with Gallstones and the doctors advised me for an immediate Lap Surgery for the same.

I checked the HBsAG recently and it shows positive. I would like to know with HBV positive, can i proceed with the operation for Gallbladder removal.

Request your help

talk to you hepatitis/liver specialist about that...and also mention it to surgeons so that you can get the most comprehensive treatment/opinion on it.

You have to inform your Hepatitis B to the surgeon and doctor, they will decide whether it is safe for the operation to proceed and things that are needed to be taken into consideration, such as pain killing medications, etc.
