hepatitis B

I have tested positive to Hbsag for more than a year now. I was placed on lamivudine, methionine and essential forte. d doctor never ask me to do viral load test anytime I see him he do ask me to do LFT and subject me to d early medications I listed. so a friend advice me to go teaching hospital were I can see a specialist. my question here is now that I have been on medication for a year without knowing my viral load what is d implication ? although d new doctor I see advice me to quit d medication and go for viral load test. advice me on what to do pls.

I think your doc I now update with hep b treatment.try to go to a specialist and he will do necessary with all tests but choose a good one.

Now that you have been exposed to Lamivudine you would be advised by many to:
1) dump the doctor who prescribe you Lamivudine (and on top of that never bothered to check for DNA) and if you have a chance tell him that he is ignorant and dangerous for the society
2) go for Tenofovir (rather then Entecavir) as Tenofovir is the choice for Lamivudine exposed patients.

thanks a lot. I hope switching from lamivudine to tenofivir  wont cause any conflict .

no need for essential forte and methionine, u can stop them

lamivudine is outdated and weak, shift to tenofovir 300mg. Never quit medications, continue it lifelong,
