medications

As Hep Ber, are we suppose to avoid acetominophen? Most medications such as all cold , cough, etc have it. What are we suppose to take as alternative or just go ahead and take it?

I did some researched on it. Acetominophen is hepatoxic, even for anyone, at 7g-10g/day. The upper recommended limit is 4g/day.

Each pill is 500 mg and we normally take 2 pills so that's 1g each time. Recommended time between each dosage is 4-6 hrs, so within 24 hrs, that's about 1g/day.

I guess we just have to avoid taking too much of it because we are at a disadvantage being a hep Ber due to the weakened liver.

However, acetominnophen is everywhere, in all cold medications. so what do we suppose to do? Stay sick or take something to treat the cold. Just don't overdo it, I guess?

Occasional use of ibuprofen is okay but acetominophen, if it works for you, is probably a bit better.  A lot depends on how often you're using it.
