I have just gotten the 2nd dose of the vaccine a couple of days prior to this incident. I am interested in the information out there regarding transmission of hbv/hcv via oral cavity with lesions.
Acute Hep B produces symptoms in 70% of individuals
nothing can be so wrong, just look for studies on pubmed because there are so many wrong things reported about hbv from decades ago when nothng was known and only the tip of the iceberg could be seen
symptoms are extremely extremely rare on hbv, all adults with competent immune system clear it with no damage and there are no studies on adults developing cronic hbv because none are found
just make hbv vaccine as soon a spossible and just retest in 6 months for hbsag, hbsab, hbcab igm and hbcab igg
hcv is now completely curable in short time, it has no symptoms too but gets cronic on most infected.just check anti-hcv antibodies
it can get by food although rare, there was a clinical case report of hbv infection by an immune tollerant child to another child by sharing a sandwhich, but this is very rare because immune tollerant are almost all children.
in any case just have vaccine and you ll have nothing to worry, hbv takes long time to reach the liver and start an infection so you have time for the vaccine.it can take from 2-3 weeks to 6 motnhs to start the infection because hbv cant reach the liver by itslef but needs macrophages, so it is thought to infect macrophages before it can start any infection
