Clearly, in your case it has according to a fibroscan. Fibroscans are great
for diagnosing mild fibrosis and cirrhosis. Its good that your getting tested
often. I have read that SVR has contributed to better memory and cognitive issues. You do sound better than you have in the past. I know you were concerned.

Hi Rexx. You can use the APRI formula to find out if your liver is improving.
One of the most knowledgable person I know on liver disease uses this to follow his own scores. Don't know how to cut and paste but if you type it in the search bar the platelet versus AST/ALT ratio will come up. As we all know platelets are key to determining our disease progression.
If anyone knows how to add it to this thread, much appreciated.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the answers.I've hearda about these othern non invasive tests but I think especially here in Europe the fibroscan is the most used test and should be the most accurate of all these tests.
Sorry for the typos,my phone sometimes don't want to write the right words.
I just had my bi annual US scan yesterday. It has been a year now since I finished treatment with S&O so naturally I was eager to see if I did had any improvement in my liver. I do have cirrhosis so I have portal hypertension, low platelets, enlarged spleen, and liver.
After the tech was finished with the US I asked for the radiologist to come in and he pulled up the images from a year ago and my spleen had decreased in size by 6cm and my liver has decreased in size by 5cm. The blood was flowing better through my liver and spleen and he said that the pressure was lower in my portal vein. Also the areas where my blood was being forced from the PV into other veins in my liver were not present.
I see my liver specialist next month to discuss these findings but I feel pretty good about this news.
