As James says she will need another test to know if she is currently infected as about 25% of poeple infected with hep c are able to beat the virus on their own and won’t need treatment. This second test is called the HCV RNA by PCR test that looks for the actual virus. Antibodies are not the virus they are made by your body when it tries to fight a virus
Hep c is not considered an STD it is blood borne but there is a small risk of sexual transmision especially for those with multiple sex partners or those who engage in rough sexual practices.
Good luck
Antibodies mean her body fought Hep C or is fighting it. It is possible she beat it. My brother did. She needs a PCR test to see if the virus is present. Only if her blood GETS in your blood stream is there an infection risk.
