Congradulations on the first one!! Try not to think of the sides and just take it one step at a time. I am on #2 and so far it hasn't been too bad. I put an ice pack on where I am going to do the shot before and after the shot. I know the needles are small but it still kind of numbs it and helps. along with the regular flu, fever symptoms I've just been massively tired and have pain in my lower back (kidney like areas). Other than that it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Hope everything goes well for you...keep us posted.

Good luck on the journey :)
I started a month ago and the symptoms have been up and down throughout the month. The second week I developed the worse rash you would want to have over much of my body - by the end of the third week and a lot of Hydrocortisone ointment, it was gone.
So I'm saying try not to freak out too much when and if weird stuff happens. Which is pretty hard - I've already freaked out at least once already but just know that it may get weird, symptom wise, and then things may clear right up again.
And best of luck!

Knock ‘em dead! I’m just finishing up, myself. Good luck with treatment, and especially the all-important end result—

Barbara from the Ocean State. "Water, Water everywhere, and [ a lot to drink]."
Yeah, we were the nutmeg state but now we're the Constitution State (cause ours was the model for the federal constitution)
Tiny needles RULE. I'd rather slice myself with a razor and pour the drugs in than use those big ones!
Greetings from the other girl in CT to Wilful in RI! ;) I have only lived here for one year but I think CT used to be the Nutmeg State? (thats a stupid thing I wanna go back to NY it had a better motto!)
Best of luck - remember to drink drink drink all the water that you can and stay out of the sun it will help!
Thank God the needles are so tiny they aren't bad at all. One time the nurse wrote the script for the wrong ones and instead of complainning I used them and they were HUGE - don't make that mistake yowza ouch!
Hi jd, greeting to you from RI--The Ocean State : ) Thanks for your well wishes. Now that I have started tx, I'm sure I'll be on this site looking for more support and more information.
Thanks,
Barbara
Hey, RI, greetings from Connecticut. Glad your first shot went well. Anticipation of something like that can be the hardest part.
SOC is a wild ride but you're on your way. Best of luck.
