4 months post exposure

I have had a sexual exposure (unprotected vaginal). I tested today and received a negative anti-HCV result. I received PEP as treatment for HIV for 4 weeks. It has been 3 months after the last dose of PEP

(I mentioned pep because Im not sure if it affects hcv testing)

My question is:

Is my 4 months post exposure negative anti-HCV result conclusive?

"Any thoughts?"

To start you had an extremely low risk (if any) exposure (HCV is not considered an STD), second you had a negative antibody test at 4 months post exposure

You do not have HVC

Have a great day

Yes.......

How soon after exposure to HCV can anti-HCV be detected?

HCV infection can be detected by anti-HCV screening tests (enzyme immunoassay) 4–10 weeks after infection. Anti-HCV can be detected in >97% of persons by 6 months after exposure.

How soon after exposure to HCV can HCV RNA be detected by PCR?

HCV RNA appears in blood and can be detected as early as 2–3 weeks after infection.

Just to add: I received negative ag/ab hiv test 3 months post pep or 4 months post exposure so I am pretty much hiv negative (I think). I am worried about hcv affecting hiv results so I was wondering if the result is indeed conclusive
