Had to share great news

Just had to share some great news.  I called the clinic about the fevers (mine is back to 101.2 & husbands is 101.8 and my face is very bright red and itch, itch. itch) anyway, they gave me my vl from week 8 and I am now undetectable!!!   I guess the riba is working even though they cut me back to 600 mg a day.  My husbands vl is 311 down from 5,500,000 baseline. My Hgb is still 9.0.  If we didn't feel so bad we would be feeling great lol.  Just had to share.
Thanks to all for all the good wishes
Sherri

Great news, sherri, congratulations on getting to that marker!
We can guess who chases who in your marriage ;).
Best of luck to both of you...may your next results come in both undetected!

Oh wow- you had the same situation I'm in- <25 vl but still detected at week four which was hard for me to understand. It was deflating to hear but hearing your great news makes me feel hopeful and especially happy for hubby. I'm sorry about your energy or lack thereof. Mine is waning a little now at week six so you are a few weeks ahead of me- maybe at week 9 or 10?  Anyway, just what I needed to hear today - for all of us!

Sherri-
Maybe you can ask your doctor to do an iron panel to insure that a lack of iron is not contributing to the anemia you are experiencing from the riba destroying your red blood cells. At the same time it is important to not take a supplemental iron unless you really are low as it may impact the virus and treatment.

just a thought-

Wonderful news on the und sherri. It makes it easier to continue the battle doesn't it. Hopefully the doctor will increase your riba soon if hgb improves a bit. Just treat yourself well and don't push.

How is your husband managing with his treatment and blood results. hopefully his next pcr will be und also.

This is new, up until week eight my vl was <25 but detectable, it is now undetectable, I just found out today.  Up until week eight my husbands vl was 16,100 (it actually went up 5,000 at one point) now at week eight his vl is 311.  This is great news for us all in the same trial, no one knows if this is just from SOC or the trial drugs, in any cases, it seems to be working but the sx are awful.  When I say my face is red, I mean "scarlet red" with rash and itch everywhere, and no (none, zelch, noda) energy.  Just happy!!!
Thanks for the kind words.

Congrats on this...being UND at week 8 is still a good predictor of success.

hang on...hopfully the Hgb. will stabilize for you  and then lots of celebration :)

Congrats!  So you both are doing so well. You husbands big turnaround was recent, right?  Were you undetectable at week four or is this new?  I'm very happy for you. I think that we must be in a pretty good trial. I hope for your continured success! What's good for you and hubby bodes well for me too!  Again, congratulations- very happy for you.
