A humble request of all the SVR's in the crowd

I am just about to start my tx, am am seeking info from the SVR's out there.
Did you fortunate souls follow any special diet? Exercise?
I do know that lots of water is important.
Thanks in advance, I appreciate you help.

That is fine. But the idea is as follows: suppose I use
my toothbrush this week while I am on treatment and there is
a bleeding in my mouth so the brush would get infected, right?
Now as far as I know the virus can live on the brush for almost
two week and would be able to infect somebody else. I am on the therapy and my viral load is going down by the medication and it could get down hopefully to zero. Suppose that happens at that very week I am talking about, there is now a real possiblity of re-infecting myself.
You can apply the same concern on the other things. And the tooth brushes are not that expensive and it will not cost more than few dollars every week.
I know I might be over-reacting but that was what I did and as I said it gave me a lot of peace.
I wish you all the best.

Want2live - just be as compliant as you can about taking your riba and shot, I am not as precise as Dirac, but I dont miss doses very often...maybe forgot um once.  I take um between 8 and 11 AM  and the second dose at between 8 and 11 PM.  Usually I have some food in my stomach, but doesnt seem to matter.  I am lucky I guess.  I take my shot sometime on SAT anywhere from 11 AM until 6 PM, I am UNDETECTED so far !!! YEA!!!!  I drink the full gallon of water plus some, drink one cuppa coffee per day one juice and a couple caffeine free sodas.  The water they say helps with the sides, keepin um under control.  I always thought POSITIVE, that I will beat this, that it is going to work!  positive attitude is very very advantageous for a good outcome of any disease.
As far as new toothbrushes and razors, reinfecting yourself, bah humbug LOL, I figure we have enuf riba and pegasys/pegIntron rampaging thru our bodies to kill off any lurking viruses that may embed themselves in our toothbrush or razor!  I change my toothbrush once every two months, just cuz I am a tightwad!  I would probably change just for good hygiene every month (but I use the $8 Braun automatic kind.  You can soak your toothbrush every week if you want in peroxide and that will kill any germs lurking, same with your razor if you are concerned, soak in that or bleach soln (half bleach half water for toothbrush, straight bleach if you want for the razor.)  I think your changes of clearing are pretty good if you follow the common sense approach, follow drs orders and get rest!  The less stress and strain you put on your body the better the chances of being able to kill the dragon.  Much luck and positive vibes to you!  OHC

Want2Live.....Beyond taking the normal multivitamin to help fight off the effects of the lack of appetite and anemia, I also took Folic Acid(400mcg 3 times a day)to help strengthen the liver and antioxidents(vitamin E, C, and green tea) to help in lots of ways. I think it all helped me. Taking your Riba with food can help keep it in your system longer and so keep those levels higher. Then just be SURE to take your meds ON TIME and do NOT forget to take them. Get yourself a "pill-minder" thingy and fill it up once a week so you don't "Fog-Out" about it.
Befuddled....I doubt they will take you off cuz of starting early. They should already have a baseline from all the tests you've already had. Surely you've already had a PCR, CBC and liver profile done within the last 6 months. That is good enough. Don't let them freak you out. THEY wrote the prescription in the first place. You called them and THEY did not respond. The rresponsibility here is on THEM. My GI was an idiot with Hcv and I basically ran much of my own tx with the help of my primary doc. It's not all that complicated. Did they give you refills on your meds? Just don't let yourself run out of meds now if they are screwing around with this. You may want to call your primary doc and/or line up another GI now just in case. You do NOT want to stop now. That would be a disaster.
Ringading....We had a BIG discussion about this reinfecting ourselves thingy awhile back. THEY say it MAY be possible. Kinda slim...but still who knows. If you wanta be SURE then change em. It all goes along with the question of "how long can Hcv live outside the body"? I changed my toothbrush like always..once a month. I did Not use a razor blade but would change it daily if I did. I alternated my hairbrush every week. If your into your nails just use those disposable emery boards instead of a carpenters file.
You say that we're supposed to have a LOT of sex on tx? Hahahaha Guess I blew that one. I was too weak to have sex at ALL. Even sex with myself was WAYY too much work for me. And whatcha doing for a man up there? You got one tied-up in the closet or something that you feed the varmints to? Or do you just bring em in at gunpoint to .....help you with your treatment? Then what do you do with em afterwards? Are you like a Black Widow and just bury em out back somewhere's afterwards? No Wonder you've got varmints hangin around! Still...I'm impressed that you can even muster up the energy. Keep UP the good work!

ha ha...theres ALWAYS the sand truck guy...told you i had a crush on him.....then theres the ferrier....thats the guy that does my horses...shoes....he REALLY is a babe!!!...but yah okay inndy, yah busted me...its all just wishful thinking....but a girl can hope can't she??

okay, now as for the blood on toothbrushes etc.....it was my understanding as of last year, that the reason they had so much trouble developing any anti-viral for this was BECAUSE they couldn't seem to keep the virus alive long enough in the petrie dish....!!!!...hummm so going with that....i don't know, i do imagine it is ALWAYS best to error on the side of cation though, ...right you are...as who knows, there may come a time years from now we'll find out the creepy little virus..is AIR BORNE or something.....
