i know what yr going thru. i wonder are these vaccines safe, or neccesary? i think they do more harm than good for someone with hcv. everyone responds to vaccines differntly and no ones immune systems are alike so symptoms are different in people with hcv. if i did not take these vaccines, i would still have my enzymes levels which were lower right before these vaccines and no itch. What a coincidence. got to get bilirubin down to about 1.5.mines is 2.0. should be bet 0.9-1.5 hang in there

I am taking a drug called Gabapentin for the itching... it kills the itch at the source, nerve endings at your skin. Was taking Ursodiol for the hi bilirubin... did not help. I have been dealing with this for over 2 years, since the Telaprevir study I was in... yes I got the real thing and think that $hit is killing me.

I can only imagine what it must be like to put up with it for a long time. I only had some minor ribavirin itch, but I wondered if I would go nuts if it continued long term.

Good luck to you.

I hope they find an answer for you too, Toughluck. Itching is one of the worst sx of liver disease. It's hard to explain it to anyone that hasn't been there.

Best of luck with the bx and finding some cause/relief for the itching.
