Well I guess even facebook needs ad dollars to sustain itself but this is getting out of control on all levels now.
Thanks for the ideas. I am taking multivitamins along with extra Vit E, D, and fish oil.
I have olive oil in the house so I'll try that first.
The coconut butter in the tub sounds wonderful... might even put me "in the mood"... something my poor husband has been missing for a while now. Hhhhhmmmmmm... I bet he wouldn't mind helping me out of that slippery tub. (;-)
My dermatologist suggests olive oil right after the shower.
I have been reading alot and writing down symptoms and what people do to treat them before I go on to treatment with the Telaprevir when it comes out.
One person wrote that-- RIGHT after they get out of the shower( while the skin is still soft from the shower, they apply a LIGHT coating of Vasline 1 or 2 times a day. They used a moisturizing soap also. _ Caress_ Maybe that will help...let me know.

I've had Psoriasis almost as long as HCV. It's impossible to say it had become worse because it's always been bad. Thankfully it's confined to areas below the knees and can be hidden. The current medicine I'm getting is really good and cheap.
It's TRIAMCINOLON 0.1% oin ... 15 grams = $4.00 at Walmart.
Actually, I started with that and it worked great, but for some reason they upped it to .5% next time around. Cost slightly higher. It was four, 15 gram tubes for 22$ at Walmart. $5.25.
It requires a prescription, might be worth a try. Otherwise a lot of moisturizer ?
If you are using something that good/strong several times a day and it's not working you could be developing the eczema that is a pretty common side effect of the autoimmune problem. Unfortunately, nothng will cure it although a derm can prescribe something that would stop the itching you said you dont have that.
Are you taking vitamins? I found that a small dose of vitamin A helped my skin problems. Be careful not to take too much though, so follow the FDA recommendations. Too much A can be tough on your liver.
I was a bit leery of trying this when I read about it here but it really is one sensual surprise.
So very messy, though, and slippery, so you have to be okay with that. It was worth it for me.
My skin got that weird, rough feel to it during tx but returned to normal afterwards. I don't bother to put on anything now, except the usual beauty stuff for the face. Lately I'm into Smashbox's Photofinish but have no idea what's in it. Maybe water.
