Thought this might be a good spot to repost the study on non-invasive methods of detecting occult virus since this also uses a series of blood markers and the alternatives also include liver biopsy.

I don't know.  But this is the most thorough article I have seen on the various pros and cons of the methods of assessment.

Very interesting article Curious.  I was just re-reading my biopsy report and they examined 5 needle cores of liver paranchyma containing approximately 10 portal tracts.  It seems to me that the interpretations of the same biopsy can be differential.  Now I understand why my Hepa Dr, who did not do my biopsy, wanted to see the slides after "their" interpretation.  The length of the extractions were "0.6-1.2 cm long, each less than .1 cm thichk".  I am interested in knowing whether or not my Hepa Dr will change my dx of Grade 2 Stage 3.
