for you? There are so many posts right now about depression and anti depressants--I wanted to bring up those of us who HAVE TO take them no matter what before, during and after treatment and what effects using riba/pegasis has had on our already "stable/unstable" minds/moods... I am now @ my 41 st week of treatment and have not had it pretty rough from the beginning --not only physcially but in later weeks emotionally....I was on pretty high doses of anti's to begin with for bipolar...because of increase depression around week 24 we had to increase my Cymbalta to 90 mg a day along with the other meds I already take for bipolar..
But heck back in 2002 when I wanted to go on treatmentDr. Lennonx Jeffers @ the University of Miami hosptal wouldn't even let me go on treatment because of my past depression issues...so we have come a long way.
These last couple of months haven't been easy with the depression. It is not just because of the bipolar----the riba/peg.. when you add fatigue, insomnia, nausea, the brain fog and trying to hold down a job where you have to make decisions--- the fact that your whole life has basically changed to where you do nothing but work and go straight to bed nights and weekends for almost a year.. of course you will be depressed!!! Yes, your family notices that you are depressed ; but they realize it is part of treatment... Treatment for me will be over soon and hopefully I will be SVR ! I can only leave that to God ! I'm am soo tired of worrying about this all the time.. And yes, there are days I just CRY all the way home and wish this was over and days I just stay in bed...but I know this will be over soon!
I hope my story will help others suffering out there today...Please do not suffer by yourself.. We can help or please --get some help..
