Body pain

I am on interferon alpha 2b and ribashere for Hep C. Just finished 12 weeks of Incivek. Other than the fatigue the worst thing is body aches. Anytime I try to even dry my hair my arms  hurt and burn like I have been holding them up for hours I ordinarily have strong arm s and legs. The dr told me to take Ibuprofen and drink more water. Ive been doing that since the beginning of tx. Is there a supplement that is safe to take while on treatment to help. I did notice that warm baths and massages help so I'm looking for something that will work like a muscle relaxer. Thanks Terry

I am in week 10 of Incivek and triple med therapy. I have noticed that the body aches and joint and muscle pains started getting a lot worse about 3 weeks ago. Also the muscle fatigue (different from regular fatigue). The aches and pains go up and down in intensity. I am not sure anything really helps but I drink a lot of water and take calcium, Vit. D, stress B complex, antioxidents, and Omega 3-6-9. The only thing I take for pain is Tylenol. I am just hoping it eventually goes away. I thinkdrinking some fluids that contain electrolytes (sodium, potassium, etc.) may also help.A gallon of water a day is a lot of water. I found that a gallon of plain water was just too much without also drinking about a quart of chicken broth, gatorade, or some other fluid that was not plain watrer.

I would think potassium might work.  I haven't even started treatment yet and my leg muscles ache all the time and my test results came back and said my potassium was high!  So I don't know...hang in there, do the best you can!  You can do this

I just told a friend about the exact same thing - my arms burning when I dry my hair!

I was told to take B12 and folic acid. Eat a bloody steak once a week and more spinach.  But guess what?  I just got some blood work back and my iron is normal, B12 is normal...

I don't know of anything that would work like a muscle relaxant except a muscle relaxant.  I'm not convinced that it would help anyway...

Just not enough oxygen getting to the muscles, isn't it?
