sniffing transmission without sharing straws

the other day my friend picked up some pills from a person who we just found out has hcv.  the person with hcv had just gotten over a nose bleed when he met my friend and there was still some visible blood in his nose.  there was no visible blood on the pills or the bag that contained them so everyone sniffed them.  is it possible that microscopic traces of blood on the pill (not visible to the eye) or if he had dried blood on his hands when he put the pills in the bag could infect someone when they sniff the pills?  yes this really happened and i know this seems crazy to everyone but me but i'm worried sick...is it possible to get hcv this way? thanks so much for your help

thank you for your honest answers and my apologies for my ignorance and ridiculous question (although in my mind it isn't ridiculous)...i will not keep posting, i just needed some opinions from ppl who know what they are talking about.  it appears from your responses that my risk is probably equivalent to being struck by lightning, so i will move on (and maybe i will worry about that next).  you have all helped to ease my mind and give me a chuckle as well. i am sorry if i offended any of u

Let's hope he doesn't have a pet bunny rabbit.
Remember the farmer saying to the city boy to try one of those bunny pills, they'd make him smarter. Kid tried one, said they tasted like sh$t. Farmer said see--you're getting smarter already..

Since your name tells us your OCD and we have dealt with many of you over the years, we already know it doesn’t matter how many times we tell you, you are at minimal to no risk, you will keep posting. I’m going to do us all (including you) a favor.
Yes you are probably infected and should get tested. No need to ask any further questions.

Are you for real? I've found when stories sound too ridiculous to be true, they usually aren't.
If you are for real, you already know the answers.
If you are worried, get tested. Start using your brain and think.

What kind of pills does one sniff ? Probably best to get off drugs, look at all the things you won't have to worry about.

I can't imagine anyone with OCD engaging in an activity as risky as sniffing pills with others, especially knowing the circumstances in which the pills were obtained.

Maybe you don't have OCD at all.  ;)

But I agree with Proactive.  I read something about a kid with a marble stuck up his nose.  I guess a pill is smaller and poses less risk.  ;)

Get tested if you're worried.

I'm not sure but you better be tested; I know someone who got it from an earring...also, avoid buying drugs from anyone.

Well your name says it all, very very very slight risk of transmission, very doubtful actually, but if you are that worried the only way to know for sure is to go get tested.

I'd be careful sniffing those pills. I read an article recently about a little girl who had a bean lodged up her nose, not a pretty sight.
