Coffee and tx

Ok...so why does coffee tolerance change on tx?  Is it due to the Riba, which does seem to ramp me up?  Have others had this experience?

Can't drink my coffee anymore : (

It has always been a real source of pleasure.

I think everyone is different. I drank more coffee during treatment - I don't know why.

Maybe it is the acidity.

I enjoy the incredible aroma of freshly made coffee. Other than that, the smell is nauseating.
I used to love a good strong cup of coffee in the morning; but, like others, I have lost the taste for it and can't brush my teeth enough to get rid of the acidic after taste.

I discovered I like white tea though - and obviously must still be handle some caffeine since I use about 5 bags at a time :)

I'm not much of a coffee drinker at all. I usually drink about 3 cups of cappuccino per year. I usually drink herbal, green and white teas. Since on tx, I almost only drink water. Everything else tastes like krap, I won't even drink any juices. It's strange how our bodies react to this poison.

I was highly jacked at the start and very few things tasted good. I still tried to have coffee every morning to stave off migraine. This morning I had lovie bring home an extra large cafe con leche with a double espresso shot

Now I'm back to water. Good ole' water. Yay for water.  Mmmmmm water. Water. Water. Water. And 179, 652, 208, 486, 069 (to the fourth power) drops left to drink.

In a few weeks, I plan to go all Kubrick at the mere sight of water

Thanks, ladies, for reassuring me that I will be able to drink my coffee again one day  : )  I don't miss the kick, more than that, I just find it a comforting drink, have always loved the smell, etc.  I will look forward to that!

In the beginning, I got VERY speedy from the riba.  Big time adjustments in what I could eat and drink, too.  (This was also when I would rearrange the furniture at night.  Kept my husband totally confused)

As time went on - I got used to the meds-almost miss the extra energy, tho.  Coffee is back on the menu...can't start the day without it, lol!!

I didn't drink any coffee during tx either. I found it repulsive. Now I love it again!

I couldn't drink coffee very much for the time I was nauseous.  Other than that, I wouldn't have made it through my workday without it, gave me a little kickstart every day.  I hope this passes for you, my coffee is a simple source of pleasure for me too.
