questions about symptoms

I am sorry to post again as that I just found out I tested Positive for hep C. So far this is all I know but I knew dwas wrong iwith me but couldn't seem to get doctors to listen. I am very hypothyroid due to having it removed several years back. I also had a partial hysterectomy couple years ago too. Does anyone with the Hep C have problems with sweating and terrible pain in my legs. I have a constant feeling in my right side also that feels like a dull pain all the time. I am so scared. Another thing I notice is I am unable to deal with any stress at all. I seem to constantly scream at my family members because they constantly want me to do this or that and seem to not understand that I am ill. I know I shouldn't be taking my Lortab which I have been on for years due to my terrible back pain I have from another surgery I had to have when I fell and broke my back. I know the Tylenol is not good but until I can get to the doctor on Tuesday to find out what is the course of action I am taking it. My pain is so out of control. I am sorry for the rambling but out of all these surgeries I have had how could they have missed that I had Hep
C?

While your waiting to see your doctor, I would recommend making an appointment with a hepatologist. A hepatologist specializes in this area and will probably send you for more additional detailed/specific tests. I hope that you are getting some rest. I don't blame you for having anxiety about the news you received but from what I am reading, there seems to be some medications that can I am on the east coast.

I do appreciate your response, I know I have posted three times now and I suppose this just left me with so many questions and my mind thinking of course the worst thoughts ever. Fear is a terrible thing. I do plan on telling my doctor how unprofessional it was to call one day after Christmas and give me this news and left me with being terrified. Have a Blessed Night or day...LOL It is 2:45am my time zone so I haven't slept since this news. thanks again Happy!

Hi HessyKat.
Unfortunately, its not routine to check for Hepatitis. Unless you request it or your doctor has reason, its not a test that they automatically run like a metabolic profile, or Complete Blood Count, etc. The anxiety is "normal"...you have a lot of unanswered questions and I think it was wrong of your doctor to have his nurse call you to tell you that you have hepatitis C...he/she should of called you. At least it would give you an opportunity to ask some questions until your upcoming appt.
