Cut on tape dispenser

The other day I was doing a moving job and while packing boxes I cut myself on the end of the tape dispenser. It was a quick motion and the skin was broken and bled shortly a few seconds later. I am worried cause someone cut themselves the day before. Is this a risk for hep c and do i need testing.

At least check to see if your  liver enzymes are elevated in your next check up.

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne disease.

That means it can only transfer from blood to blood. If there was no blood, there was no transmission. If there was blood but there was no virus in it, there was no transmission.

since the cut is not that deep and it was very fast blood would not get on the dispenser just skin tissue is this a real risk

I don't agree with Rocker. The chances of contracting HCV in this way are so remote that it's not a rational concern. However, you should make sure you are up on your tetanus booster. That's a more realistic issue.

IMO...yes...but the odds of the last person having hep and just the way the cut actually happened...your ods are pretty low....you still need to checked out in IMO....
