his and flcyclist:
Thanks for your input. It is all good to know.
As mentioned by those above, I recall reading the timing of the Procrit doesn't matter. However, for those taking neupogen, you should inject at least 24 hrs before or after the interferon. As with the interferon, let the Procrit warm up some to avoid the burning during injection.
oops my reply was really to pooh but also to anyone else interested
doesnt effect treatment results to do it on the same day my doc said,, but suggested to do on a different day. She never really said why, but I believe the interferon is enough to deal with all by itself most of those shot days. I only did both together one time. Had an emotional meltdown that night but who is to say... I had more than one of those (meltdowns) while on treatment.

Will and Can-do-man
Thanks for the responses. They are both very helpful.
(I wish I could pick 2 best answers. That way you would both get best answer. I picked Will as best answer at the same time you were posting Can-do-man.)
I have the nurse give me mine, at the same time as my Interferon, because I take my shots at the Clinic, that I go to.
But if I had a choice,(had the meds at home) I would wait until I was no longer achey, from my Inf shot (48 hrs) and then do the Procrit shot.
The Procrit shot has this little grey rubber seal, which is broken, by the syringe, that is used to inject the Procrit with, and I have noticed that this makes the sharp point just a little bit more dull, so it hurts a bit, going in (more then the inf shot needle) Also, the Procrit burns as it goes in, but it is the least of all of our sx, it's just unpleasant for a minute. Go slow, etc~
Which day doesn't matter, i did mine the following day but when i had to go to every 5 days there was times it was on the same day.
Best..
Will
