Downward-curved fingernail ends

For many years my nails tips on three of my fingers, both hands curved downward.  Although, I am HCV clear, post tx a few years, I have just learned this is a symptom of liver disease.  It can also be a symptom of heart problems.  But having HCV for 20+ years I am curious, if anyone else noticed this happening to them?

They may have improved a little it been a couple years since SVR, not very sure because I keep them short and haven't been to a nail salon since before treatment.  I ran across an article and just thought I would post out of curiosity.

I too had it for the last few years. I keep them short now. Just worked on that janky toenail I've had too. Sandal ready. Uhm, kinda. Mine have ridges too. Another thing I kept asking dr about for years.
So- does it get better post tx? My iron is a love hate thing. I had to drop it for tx, but try n get it in my diet. I DID find an iron free multiple vit. That way I can kind of control the dose n not overload liver.
My.. Chatty me tonight. Karen :)

If you google curved fingernails you will get alot of info.I have several nails that curve downwards at the ends.It can indicate heart, circulatory or liver problems and is also a sign of being iron deficient   cindy
