Epogen on line prices

I have found Epogen on line for a lot less than what my Dr said it could cost per month. ($1300-$1500 before ins.)
Even with my insurance co-pay i would still spend 35% less out of pocket buying directly on line than thru my regular insurance and paying my co-pay!
I dont think 'Health Care' needed the overhaul - the insurance industry does!
This was reinforced since I found the same Epogen available thru a VETRINARY clinic for 1/3 less than it cost for people use!
Interesting!

Brand Names: Epogen, Procrit
Generic Name: epoetin alfa

Different name but same stuff .  I think it also is called erithropoetin or something like that, but I don't remember how it is spelled.  Someone posted the website where all the Lot #'s are listed on the other post about this.  All my husbands left overs were on the list.

This kind of pricing is common stuff. I remember once, a couple decades ago, I had a dog who caught a rare fungal infection of the lungs. The medicine to treat it cost $180 for a box of 15 capsules. That was a one week supply, and the treatment was three MONTHS long.

At the time, I lived only an hour from the Mexican border. I promptly crossed over, hit several pharmacies, and bought all the boxes I could find at $8 USD per box.

My pup was cured, and I saved thousands of dollars.
