Can i know who are the famous liver specialists, available in Lahore, pakistan. I want to consult one of them, as soon as possible......

my parents are suffring from liver diseas.
so i sugest 4 u Dr Mehmood Nasir Malik his private clinic near jinah hospital Lahore right behind the fresh in bakers.
and the other one Dr Ghayas Nabi Tayab in doctors hospital Lahore.
my mother is ALHAMDULILLAH fine now. but my father is still victom of diseas and till now i am going to Mehmood Nasir Malik for treatment

Pakistan is considered a developing country and may not have many specialists available so a gastroenterologist may do much more than treat liver disease.  Sometimes the gastroenterologist IS the specialist.  Perhaps you could consult with both these people and make up your own mind.  Some questions I would ask are "where were you educated?"  "how many people like me have you treated?"  "how are you treating them now?" "do you have any publications or research studies of your own"? "what hospitals or research centers are you associated with?" etc.  Good luck!

i went to go dr. anwar a khan clinic but unfortunately dr. anwar a khan not there (at barket market in basment ) due to Saturday and Sunday. on saturday and sunday the clinic closed but another dr. there and tell me that dr. anwar a khan is not a liver specialist he is just stomic specialist. i am suffreing from in liver disease just like hepatities c and genotype 3a. now what r urs recommendation & suggestion for me.
another liver specialist who s search at net the name is dr. arif qayum. what is your opinion about dr. arif qayum

You are lucky that you are in lahore. Dr. Anwar A Khan is the most famous Liver specialist in Pakistan, infact he is considered No. 1 in Asia for liver diseases and hepatitis. His clinic was near Barkat Market -New Gardon Town Lahore some time back. You can get his no. from 17. Only prob u will face is to get appointment as he has a busy schedule.
