I have had several fibroscans but I always get just one number for a score. The accuracy of the reading is also deemed important but that is usually measured as a percentage of good individual readings, eg. if 10 out of 10 of your readings were good then your reading gets 100% accuracy. I can't see where 10.2 might come into it though.

Hi there
You will probably have to ask for a copy of the result to be given to you so you can have more clarity. I had the Fibroscan, but had only one value in kPa.
That why I am be finding it hard to get a answer lol. I didn't know this was a forum for the USA am from the UK.
I have had bloods take but I don't have them with me as an in work at the moment. I will put them on later if that's ok.
Thanks for the reply.
Geey, here is a link that provides you with a great deal of information:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1856085/
As you can see (above) 32.4 kpa is clearly cirrhotic, but by no means 'end stage.' Stiffness scores can be more than twice the 32.4 level.
Hopefully you will be able to control or improve your condition...good luck to you, and best wishes!
I hope that this will be helpful to you -
PD
Geey,
Fibroscan is not officially approved here in USA...and therefore health insurance companies will normally NOT pay for the procedure. I would love to have a Fibroscan test done, but I may have to travel to Canada or Europe for this radiology procedure..
I am however very familiar with FibroTest, Fibrosure, Ash-Fibrosure, etc...these being various blood tests for checking fibrosis levels.
Have you had any of these blood tests done?
PD
Can anyone help me with this please
