Hep C Infected Blood got near open wound

I work as an EMT and a Hep C + patient's blood got into a small tear in my glove. I had a small wound (pin head sized pimple that popped, just oil/small amount of blood draining, but basically scabbed over). The patient's blood got near that wound. The second I realized this, I hand sanatized and washed my hands with hot water and soap as soon as I got out of the squad. I went in for all the testing but I'm nervous waiting for the results. Everyone keeps telling me my chances are low, but it still scares me. What do you think my chances?

Like Livelife said, get tested in a month or two for the antibody just for peace of mind. Stop worrying. Your risk was very low and hep C can be cured now. The test is cheap.

Personally I wouldn't worry at all.
I had Hep C during my 20 year marriage not knowing I was infected so protection was never used.  Had 2 children during that time as well.  Not one family member contracted the disease fortunately.
It's a hard disease to acquire.
For piece of mind testing is a good idea.
Best to you
