First TX Results

I am HCV Geno 1a.  When diagnosed my viral load was 1.8 mm.  ALT 79, AST 55.
at week 5 of TX, viral load is 18,500, ALT 31, AST 36.

Wondering how this is and If anyone has had similar readings that went on to SVR.?
Thanks
6 weeks down and a long haul ahead.

1.8 million to 18,500 is a 2 log drop.  That is great for 6 weeks.  You are not a rapid responder, but your responding to treatment.

I was in a trial, and had difficulty getting my bloodwork info (enzymes, blood counts) from the trial ppl, unless something was seriously abnormal.  My liver enzymes have never been elevated prior to tx, but have been at the top end of the normal range.  I don't know how they ran during tx.  I had no PCR results till 4 wks after EOT.  So, I can't help with your question, but wanted to give you a bump up.  Someone else may have more to share.

Six weeks done, good for you!  It seems like forever when you're in it, then it's over and it almost seems like a dream (for me, anyway).  Hang in there, keep in touch.
