Damn!!!
What genotype are you? Do you know what your IL28b is? And are you only on SOC? Sorry if you've posted all this info before. What did your most recent liver bx show?
Yes I did.
Between a rock and a hard place now because I am undetectable so could not get on. The trials requires a viral load of 10,000.
Had I seen this in September (when I started ) I would have been OK.But I just could not find any trials in UK at that time. I'm not even half way through the 24 weeks. Now I'm on Epra to raise hemoglobin. I thinking if I'm still undetectable at 12 weeks. I will drop out and take my chances. The interferon is tearing me apart.

Did you get the link from the other site?
Can you let me know how to contact UK trials? I didn't know they were having any there.
I'm geno 2 - 10 weeks in and having very tough time with anemia.

________
Hi All,
I'm in the UK and am on week 2 of a 12 week GS7977/Riba (400/1200mg)only trial.
I am genotype 3a with 'probable' cirrhosis and have probably had HCV for 30 years being diagnosed 3 years ago. I have done 48 weeks of standard treatment; INF and 1200 mg Riba which I responded to but relapsed within 2 weeks.
At 10 days in I'm starting to feel the Riba; I had an anaemia problem last time and took Epo for practically the whole 48 weeks. The Hospital called me today saying that my ALT levels had doubled in the first week of treatment. As they are normally sky high anyway (200+) they are getting me in for a scan next week.
Is anyone aware of the ALT levels being affected in this way by GS7977?
I'm still pretty positive about the trials, but obviously this is worrying so soon after the start. I figure my liver is pretty screwed anyway, but obvioulsy the ideal thing would be to try to get rid of the HCV before any question of a transplant comes up.
In general I would say that the sx are not so accute as with INF treatment just yet, but the are all present. Dry skin, itching, tired. But the Riba cough hasn't kicked in yet.
That's me... good luck to you all with whatever you're dealing with!
