Gastro problems

I have been on treatment for 16 weeks and I am experiencing stomach cramps and pains upper and lower and was just wondering if this was a common side effect of the treatment?

It's going on with me too.  My doc has kept me supplied with samples of Zegerid and Nexium ( to use one or the other, not both) and a prescription for Hyoscyamine for the cramping.  It is an ongoing thing with me.

Ribivirin list gastro problems as a side effect.  I'm a yoghurt fan, too.

That comes and goes for me.  Bland down your diet a bit, maybe, til it passes.  Activia and yogurt for a few days seem to soothe those troubles for me.

Yep. You betcha. I actually just went through a bunch of that. In my case, it didn't seem to be affected one way or the other by what I ate, although if I didn't have dinner by around 7pm, the cramping was so bad that I didn't really want to eat. So I ate, even though I sure didn't have much of an appetite.

It is important to keep you weight up by eating as reasonably as you can. Try whatever works for you. Nothing really worked for me. I just suffered through it.
