Good hepatologists in NYC or east coast

Good morning everybody! Can someone here recommend a good hepatologist in the east coast? Ideally, this doctor has not only good expertise, but also cares about his or her patients (not like someone who even refuses to write a doctor note for his patients)...

Thanks to you allQ

When I asked a hepatologist who he thought the best one are he mentioned  most of the ones already named.  However, at the top of his list was McHutchinson at Duke.

I participated in the Phase III Vertex trial at UPenn with Dr. Reddy.  He, and his staff, were great.

I was surprised to hear about Dr Leevy dying.  He was the first hepatologist I saw when I first found out I had HCV . I only went to him a few times and didn't like the wait to see him, 3-4 hours! Now that I think about it he didn't look to be in the best health back then in 2006. I think he was one of the top hepatologist back in the day. I think I caught him at the end of his career. God rest his soul.
