Got a question

I am currently taking celebrex for arthritis, but it is a NSAID and I read we should not take them. I was diagnosed with Fibro but was afraid to take cymbalta. IS there anyone here who takes cymbalta without any problems? I am Genotype 1A with stage 2 fibrosis. Any feedback?

One other thing:
A drug challenge is where you take a drug, do bloodwork for liver enzymes and see if ALT and AST went up with the addition of the drug.  It can take several weeks for the damage to show and several weeks for the enzymes to drop back down.  It's a pretty clear statement about the drug and your liver.

An NSAID, aleve, was what did so much damage to my liver.  Had to treat the hep c because I was out of options to save the liver.  Now I know I'm going to have a life.

Do an internet search of the drugs in question.  Your individual sensitivity to a toxin is an unknown (and hep c makes your liver work less well so damage is greater).  Research beyong the manufacturer's label.  You will rarely find liver damage from the drug listed even in the rare side effects section of the label.  You will find references to liver damage by a drug in professional papers but you'll need to dig.  Good luck on your search.
