Hemoglobin values

I see people posting values that I can't figure out...  Or I can't figure out my own...

3 weeks ago it was 107 with a reference range of 123 - 157.

I think that was at week 5.

I see values posted of 9, 10, etc. being 'low'.  How low is mine in comparison?  I'm assuming it's a different unit of measurement since I'm in Canada.

The hemoglobin level is expressed as the amount of hemoglobin in grams (gm) per deciliter (dl) of whole blood.  My reports shows the normal range 14.0-18.0 g/dL.   Take a look at the units reported for Hgb.  Your report might be report the values in different units.  My ANC is reported in different units depending on which lab runs the test.

My guess is you're at 10.7 at week 5.  Does that sound correct?

I'm in Canada as well. My HBG started at 15.6 and was at 13.4 at week 6. It then came up to 14.3 by week 10. I agree with flcyclist, you are probably 10.7.

Hi Sue , cyclist and zufa are correct  .here in Can. we express HGB in g/L
so 107 g/L is the same  as 10.7 gm/dl
