Hello, we just had a discussion about this recently, I think it was "MsDragonslayer"  I may have it wrong,  It is a very good idea to be extra diligent with your brushing and flossing and an excellent time to get a cleaning right before.  Using mouthwash without alcohol will help as well with the film that is left behind after brushing.  Many people get thrush from the tx, I eat yogurt every day to try to help it however I have been told that alot depends on the individual and what will work for them.  As Oh said also getting your eyes checked is a good idea.  I did get that and I do not know if this was just the trial however I had an EKG done as well, several in fact during the course of the trial.  Also, as OH said, for dry mouth Biotene has some very good products as a dry mouth is more prone to cavities, etc.  In the middle of this tx I had to have a crown replaced, it was difficult to have done as my mouth was very sore
Bets of luck to you
Dee

Its not just that you don't want to go to the dentist during tx, its that the meds can damage your bones and teeth,( and your eye sight)
Besides taking good care of your teeth~,flossing, using dry mouth products, etc, ~ you might also take a vitamin D and calcium supplements.
Check with your doctor.

Hi Ralph
I asked the same question to the Warriors on here and they said to go to the dentist and eye doctor to get a baseline before starting treatment. I just went to the dentist and had a couple fillings filled and I am headed to the eye Dr soon.  Evidently some of the drugs in triple therapy can cause issues with your eye sight.  So if you haven't started tx I would go ahead and make the appts.  Glad I listened to this forum and got my teeth out of the way.  They said basically you don't want/feel like getting these things done during tx.

Best of luck

Jules
