How long til I feel (and look) NORMAL again

I have 4 more weeks of Treatment, and am wondering how long til I am back to normal. My hair has thinned out so bad that I look like a cancer patient. I feel BLAH all the time. Aches, fever, spacy brain, SOOO tired, insomnia, everything tastes funny.

When do I start getting over this stuff.
BTW viral load has been UND since week 4.
Thanks

I will start looking normal after tx? This is great news since I didn’t consider my self “looking normal” before tx. Now I have another reason to complete tx. Thanks guys.

I tx'd longer than most. the first 2 mths post tx I had an Interferon melt-down. Joint pain and anxiety (which i did not have pre or post tx) exacerbated to a degree that I thought the virus came back with a vengence. By the 4th to 6mths post tx everything normalized joint pain left, anxiety gone, a true rollercoaster ride. I  probably should have been weaned off the drugs. Worth it to be rid of this virus. Just wanted to add not everyone has problems on tx . Good Luck and Good Health!!!!

To save money on horror films, I'd just look in the mirror during treatment for a good fright.  "FlMouse" has it about right. You should look ready for prime time in a month or two. That said, some report more lingering problems with the hair. As to when you will *feel* normal again, that is very individual.

Shaddamom,

I bounced back pretty quick after my first round.  I'd say I looked normal within a month, I felt normal in about 4 months.  Just like with treatment everyone is different with the recovery period.  I had a bit of a problem getting my hemaglobin to go back up that's why  it took me so long to feel normal.

Contratulations on nearing the end.
