doctor questions

Hi everyone! I'm new to the Hepatitis diagnosis, I've had lots of problems as in chronic pain, distension of the belly.. I got diagnosed with Hep C at the end of July, while being hospitalized for my belly pain.. I didn't have any insurance or money to see a hepatologist, but after lots of praying I got excepted into a program that is gonna take care of all my treatments. What kind of questions should I be asking this doctor? All I know is what I've read and what you guys on this forum have helped me with.. Any suggestions??

OK. That's great that they'll take you on.

In other posts, you said that you were in the hospitla and had a bunch of tests. Did they confirm that you had HCV?  (I imagine that they did) Did they tell you anything about:

Genotype
Viral load
Condition of your liver (by biopsy or any other means)
If you need to have a biopsy
Wheter treatment will be with peginterferon and ribabviron (this is the usual stuff)
The resaon for you belly distension.

These would probably be some good things to find out initially.

No its not a clinic or a drug trial, they've accepted me as a charity case basically. Its a digestive health, hepatologist (a doctors office).

It's not clear what kind of a program that it is.  Is it a drug trial, one in which they are testing new drugs?  If it is, you are going to get a bunch of paperwork and probably a bunch of tests.

Have they told you what drugs are involved? It is at a university or a large hospital?

If possible, try to get the name of the Trial or the Trial Idenifier Number.  It would be a number like "NTC12345678"
