Hepatitis C

When my wife Kathy was pregnant she received a shot of RH immune globulin, which is also called a Rogan shot in Dec 1993 manufactured by Armour. This medication was given to her by her Gynecologist because one of us has a positive blood type and one has a negative blood type.
During her pregnancy she developed a heart problem and had to be taken to Zale Lispy Hospital in Dallas. At that time they did all the normal blood work which all came back normal. After our child was born on March 8th 1994 Kathy went back to Dallas for another check up. This time when the test results came back it showed that my wife had Hepatitis C.
They asked us if she knew this and her response was no. Kathy had never done drugs never had a blood transfer and I had been her only sex partner. I did not and do not have Hepatitis C.
At this time in my life I was a Licensed Athletic Trainer and worked at a Physical Therapy Clinic. One day we received a recall letter from Armour pharmaceutical company stating that there had been some contamination in their RH immune globulin medication. We contacted her Doctor and asked for a copy of the lot number that she had received the medication from. Kathy’s lot number was one of them listed. See what is important is that the letter was addressed to Healthcare Provider. We did not use inject able drugs and should have never received the letter. They did not send a letter to the individual who received the product.
We tried to file a lawsuit in 1994-1995 and our so called attorney did not request independent testing of her lot#. Armour destroyed her lot # so in 1997 and there was no other reported cases of individuals with Hepatitis C from RH immune globulin so the case was dismissed with out prejudice.
If anyone has anu info or has a simular case please email me at ***@****. If there are more individuals that contracted Hepatitis C in this manner we can make Armor pay for what they have done. There are thousands of women that I am sure contracted Hepatitis C from this drug that need to know.
