I went to the doctor today.  I have one month to decide if I'm going on treatment.  Genotype 1a, overweight and depression on the downfalls.  Anyone have any advice?  Or anyone with similar

Have you had a liver biopsy? If so, how much liver damage (what stage) did it show? If not, you should see a liver specialist (hepatologist) and discuss having a liver biopsy. It will help you make a decision regarding treatment. If you do decide to treat, you might speak to your doctor about losing weight first. It will give you a better chance of being cured. And if you're not already on anti-depressants, they may be recommended before you start treatment as the treatment drugs can make depression worse.

Forgot to ask, why "one month to decide" ? Were you offered to be in a trial? If so, which trial is it?
