In all seriousness, before I went on treatment, I did have gas problems sometimes and usually because I was a constipated. My dear old doctor said to eat more spinach... I ignored him for a couple of years, and then in desperation started eating it daily and it had the remarkably good effect of making me really regular.
Thanks for starting this thread; it's been a lovely read..
OMG I must've privately posted you about blaming the cat lol!! My poor boy is a little older now and I can't bluff him on anything!! Thank you for reminding me what I put my poor boys through hehe.
I remember that you were blaming it on the cat and had your son check all around the place, even behind your computer. Hahaha, that was hilarious!
hahaha 'wear a long dress'. It didn't matter what I wore - these most vile eruptions were uncapturable and could creep through brick and concrete and steel - an unstoppable force. The neighbours stopped at the gate and the postman left he mail across the road.
And Probiotics?? - I was taking more probiotics than riba!! I think they were fighting a battle to the death and turned my insides into a pool of sulphur.
You sure won't need bubble bath to make bubbles in the tub.
Oh my! Great magenta balls of gas! I think I heard that in a Spaulding Gray monologue somewhere.
Wear a long dress and try to capture them for later release in a safe place. :-)
I agree with copyman - increase your probiotics - yogurt is a good source. When I saw the subject, I knew this thread would get out of hand or should I say out of ####
wow, i need to get back to this forum more often...great thread. I just blame it on being old.
Rick, sorry to wake you up...
Flattered, Goof, flattered!
"..beans produce large amounts of not particularly stinky farts. "
I call foul. Someone's buying the wrong brand of beans if that's the case.
Annie - I don't know whether to be flattered or shamed....
Willing is telling the truth.
When our computers are down, this is how we communicate.
Once Marcia made contact all the way from Denmark. Loud and Clear.
crude question - around here? you can't be serious. Actually, in time you'll learn to be grateful. When the Hgb drops low enough, emissions can help propel one from couch to bed as well as communicate your whereabouts to family members and pets, with no need to talk; all very helpful.
During treatment my hepatologist started me on probiotics. She gave them to me just before I departed to spend a month in Mexico. I'm not sure if it was the riba, the probiotics or the Mexican food, but there's a really nice resort in San Jose del Cabo where I would too embarassed to ever show my face again.
you lot are disgusting, here in England our farts smell like roses.
I don't know what causes it but it got so bad (smell) that I couldn't even blame the dog.
*Big Grin*
Waiting for Goofy's input on this thread..
Listen to copyman
absolutely increase prebiotics and probiotics.
I agree Kristina, I think it's so strong that it works like caustic soda in pipes. It loosens up all the crap... expensive, toxic colon cleanse
During tx my family had to evacuate the lounge more than once!!! We laugh about it now but it was horrible omitting such sulphuric dead-animal smells - they must've though I was rotting inside - I personally put it down to the riba.
It's important to remember that gas and bloating are vague symptoms that can be associated with many medical diseases, so consultation with your primary care provider should always be the first step,,When someone has persisting bloating and flatulence, lab tests and x-rays are first conducted to exclude the presence of medical disease. Colorectal cancer often presents with the symptoms of abdomen discomfort and bloating. Celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease may have similar symptoms
Now that definitely ISN"T what I need.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
I can hear my 13 year old now.......
I finally got a chance to check out that site. I had no idea there were so many questions about the subject. Very interesting read.
Until the mystery is solved you can try catching them in a Jar and releasing them outside later.
I can't remember ever seeing HCV being associated with gas pre-tx and don't think I had a problem with it during tx. I really didn't eat much during tx, though, and maybe that kept things quiet down there.
I think there was a gas thread (!), which was a lot of fun for the folks involved. Maybe someone has the link.
Are you possibly getting too MUCH fiber in your diet?
Anyway, the garage could be a nice little escape for you from the family, when you find you want to get away from them.
It was surprising how little I wanted to see my guys during treatment; you may just find they annoy you, once those gorgeous pills and injections start playing with your disposition. And then the gas will sure come in handy to shoo them away.
