Itching

I have started my new treatment for hep c. Thank the Lord my doc got me hooked up for no cost.Truly a blessing, it at least gives me hope.I did not relate. that all the health stuff I have been going through was because of hep c.I must of had it for at least 30 or more years. I also think I got it from iv drug use, thank God I am clean 30 years was on h for 4 years.still very embarrassed of it .  I have been with this doctor for 9years and am too embarrassed to tell him about the drug use.I started new medicine 6 days ago and last night started to itch real bad, has anyone had that reaction otherwise I feel fine.I am 65 year old female last year has been hell sleeping all the time could not do my job major depression and I am an up beet person. Last drug kicked my *** hope this doesn't.        Mary

Hey there! What meds are you on? I'm on week 7 and have some itching also had a reaction to simeprevir with the Sun. If your on it stay out of the sun! You should get a dermatologist in case side effects continue or get worse (hopefully they won't though) I'm not trying to scare you I just want you to be prepared. :) my itching comes and goes by the way. I also suffer from psoriasis...something I had before treatment.

Good luck keep us posted!

Mary, I wish you all the luck in the world with this new treatment, you deserve a good stretch. Don't be embarassed--I know that's hard--be proud that you have been clean so long. I hope the itching goes away too. I have heard of that happening but can't really give an opinion because it would be hearsay. But Godbless youand may you benefit from the treatment!
