I am there with everyone of you and I am only on week 5. I am waiting on labs to come in from week 4, however week 2 were good. I eat good, drink lots of water and I am trying with every ounce of energy to do whatever just to stay active and not be a bed bug, but by golly there is just sometimes when it just kicks you in the butt and your down for the count. I guess the main thing is just to stay focused and go forward with out even thinking of quitting. (Ive had those thoughts a couple of times )
Ok, Lets slay this Dragon Together ! We can do it !
I feel the same way. I have a 2 story home and my washer and dryer are in the basement I climb the stairs and I am sucking pond water at the top and my muscles feel like I climed a mountain and my abs feel like I have done 150 crunches with no break.
i hope things get better for you. i can't imagine working with 5th graders while on tx. you're a brave woman. i'm sending you some prayers. best wishes and please take it easy. you deserve it. belle
...so I'm not imaging this nightmare where I try to run up the stairs with the bogeyman chasing me and my legs go slower and slower. It was Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I actually dragged myself out to the grocery store to buy food, cooked it and cleared the mess afterward. Paid for it the next day with exhaustion, bad pain and headache - felt like I hit a mac truck. I see a pattern here where I get sick of laying around so I make an effort to get things done and then I hit the "WALL" Mostly go from bed to couch with little trips to the kitchen or bathroom. Can't do stairs or run for a ringing phone or stand for more than 15 min. at a time. Sometimes wonder if I will truly feel better after tx or will this be it. Seems to be a big controversy about long term tx effects but I can't imagine feeling worse than this....I like a little cheese with my whine so I'm off to the kitchen again :-)
can you get out of teaching until maybe 2 weeks after the incivek?...keep an eye on your blood tests...get them done often...man do i know that anemia feeling...take it easy if you can....getting through the incivek is hard but it does get much easier for many once that part of tx is done.....the procrit should help in two weeks after you take it....i couldn't do tx without it...i'm at 60000 per week now was at 60000 when i first started but dropped down to 40000 per week....that wasn't working so i'm back to 60000 and it seems to be working...i haven't road my motorcycles since i started tx....good luck....billy
I get out of breath sometimes just from talking. I am tired all the time, but the shortness of breath really gets to me. My dr said this is normal and se of meds. Does not make me feel any better. Not anemic yet but definitely a drop.in numbers. I am now going for weekly cbcs. Hang in there, the procrit will help.you feel better and get u thru tx. Ms dragonslayer hang in there also. I start and end each day with prayer. Best wishes to all of us
I understand, I am a massage therapist, and I am running out of excuses to not be available. I give every ounce of love and energy when I work and I have NONE to give anymore. I am going to try and sell things on line, my husband is looking for a second job for the winter. I can't handle noise, light or commercials on tv. I like the stillness and quite. I feel for you with being a teacher, Wow, u are amazing. I am in 7th week. I am very spiritual, but now I am becoming a huge prayer junkie just to get out of bed. Don't worry...These sx don't effect everyone like me, thank goodness. God bless you and I pray that the almighty sends you an abundance of strength, everyday. Hugs, carolyn
