"anyone else having constant joint pain? Of course I am 53 so I just accepted the kidney issues sleep apnea, shoulder neck and knee issues.as aging,"

Of course we can have some problems as we age but, if I was you, I would see a very good internal medicine doctor about these problems. I would want a thorough examination, including history and physical, and some lab tests run to determine the root cause of these problems. Or, you may want to go to specialists if you have already discussed these issues with your current doctor and he/she had no answers ... perhaps a rheumatologist for your joint problems, a nephrologist for you kidney problems, and a lung specialist about your sleep apnea. Edema can be caused by heart problems, kidney problems, and other medical problems so you need to have that thoroughly checked out. A good internal medicine doctor will refer you to specialists if the problem is out of his/her league. But, as noted, you may want to go directly to the specialists, especially if your doctor is not getting to the bottom of the problems and is not referring you.
If I were you, I would especially want to get to the root cause of the kidney problems and the edema problems. They can become quite serious. You are really too young to be having these problems as "age related problems."
There are a lot of people complaining of long term sides on this site and though those with troubled outcomes are far more likely to post than those who are problem free after treatment (seeking help) it's something the doc's as a group don't seem to give much thought to. I do not see anything about your general health (BP/HR, Wt/BMI, exercise tolerance).. I mention these because I see sleep apnea listed as a complaint and in that sleep apnea is very common with obesity and obesity does by itself cause/contribute to all your other complaints.
Hello I am sorry to hear of your suffering. You have been given excellent advice above. I just wanted to say that you can conduct a search for long term side effects after Peg. It is the magnifying glass up near "post a question" There are many posters who had problems recovering after tx.
If I were you, I would try to see what problems you had right after tx, those "might" be connected.
One member has advised others to get help for each individual problem rather than thinking it was caused by the tx.
I hope you can get some answers for your problems.
I finished treating 14 months ago, am SVR, I would say that I am recovering from the triple tx and hope to continue to improve
Good luck
Dee
I wonder the same thing every day. Yeah, aches n pains. Eye troubles too. I know we got hit hard by tx.
Some days I am just glad to still be here to gripe about it. haha. really. I mean that.
I hope you are doing well aside from everything else. I'm glad your numbers are normal. The ole liver is still plugging away! yay you! Karen:)
