Thanks Willbb and I'm new to the group since Jan. Newly diagnosed with the
virus and have a problem with bowel movements. I eat a lot of  fiber. I see a liver specialist and currently no treatment at this time. Monitoring with labs. I see the Doc in two weeks.

Weight lose is not specifically a symptom of HCV. Possibly this is due to some other cause that only your doctor could diagnose
There is no specific diet unless you have very advanced liver disease(cirrhosis).

A Healthy diet is always best  and no alcohol is recommended for anyone with HCV.

Have you been seen by a liver specialist ,do you know how much liver damage(fibrosis) you currently have and has treatment been discussed?

Welcome to the group..
