I don't remember.
No, seriously... (lol) it is an extremely common side effect of treatment and my memory has pretty much returned to normal at 4-months post treatment.

I was fuzzy throughout TX. The ability to actually think and connect the dots came back a month or so after EOT, but sometimes words still elude me at 6 mos. post-TX. Can't honestly say if that's due to the drugs or being 57. I'll let you know when I get another 6 mos. out from the IFN. Man, that stuff does not want to let me go but surely it will eventually.
Try walking out of a shop with a whole bunch of stuff in your hands without paying.
:-)
NYGirl had reported in the past that whenever she was looking for her purse she would look in the refrigerator and more often than not, find it easily there. It got worse after she started treatment.
(Sorry Deb, couldn't resist)
As in the time I found myself trying to call my daughter from the truck on my TV remote? Yeah, memory can become challenged, but should return to normal reasonably soon post treatment.

LOL that was a great reply we both had a good laugh. Thanks for putting a smile on his face. He was getting concerned about the memory loss.
Many, if not most, suffer from some amount of brain fade during treatment. Sometimes it's the inability to find an elusive simple word in conversation. For others, it losing things around the house only to find it in a very strage place. Sometimes it the absence of short-term memory. With evidence to the contray displayed in some posts you read, the mental sharpness should return when the drugs departure.
But, this situation affords a great opportunity for those who give care to a person on treatment, especially a spouse. Just think of all the things that you could tell him and get away with now. "Of course I bought the _______ (fill in the blank shoes, car, clothes, vacation) you said it was ok with you". Don't fear the memory loss, use it to your advantage.
