update

This month I will go in for the 3 month check of vl. Last week I had a sonogram of my thyroid which was fried from the tx. They have found something. Now I have to go in for a Thyroid scan to see if the nodule might be cancerous. I am not all thrilled. I have gone from the frying pan to the fire. On the other hand if it is cancer its one of the ones that is easiest to cure so I have heard. My friend is a nurse and her ex had thyroid cancer and that was many years ago. So fingers crossed. So everyone will know why I went to the dr in the first place, it was because I was having a hard time swallowing and felt like I had a really tight turtleneck on. With all this I truly hope I am still undetected at the next blood draw. Best to all and svr. anne

I am praying that this will turn out to be a false alarm. I too love your outlook but want that nodule to be just that- a nodule! A doctor had found a nodule in my husband's lung a few years ago and it was nothing. I will be waiting for your update after the doctor. Also praying for your SVR.
Hugs,
G

Your attitude is excellent.  That is one hard nut to take.  I am really sorry for this unwanted surprise.  That is a high price to pay beyond the side effects of tx.  On Oprah I heard her with a Sage from India that spoke:  "Every thing will be all right in the end"  Oprah asked:  "why is every thing not all right?"  The answer was:  "Because it is not the end".   For some reason, this made sense for me and maybe for you.  I guess it is hard to make sense of the unimaginable.  Thank you for sharing your challenge.  So glad you recognized and attended to this malaise.  I had trouble with my throat and breathing as well thinking it was a side effect of tx.  Your info is really important.  Please check back.  Good luck.
