Thank you! I imagine you are an athlete or athletic and thus are in better shape. I lost a substantial amount of weight last year but gained it back and haven't been exercising. I think that all affects the side effects as well as being sedentary and living in a dry climate etc. I was looking at this peg-interferon lambda and wondering if and when it would head to market. They have been studying it for a couple years now. It shows good promise of reducing the incidence of sides by half or more.
My peak of fatigue and general feeling of ich peaks just as desrt stated, 3-4 days after the shot. I wouldn't describe it as a huge difference, but it does follow this pattern. I'm at week 11 of SOC. The daily variation of the sx from the other rx taken during trt shouldn't vary much since they are taken more frequently and stay in the system for a longer time.
I haven't experienced any nausea, vomiting, diarrhea so far. "Brain fog" yes, but at least I have something to blame it on. ;)
Thank you for your note. At least it gives me something to hope and plan for. So I guess the most disruptive sides like vomiting, diarrhea, low alertness come from the interferon?
Though there's a great deal of variation from person to person, on average it seems to depend somewhat on which PEG you are doing. PEG IFN alpha 2a (Pegasys) has a branched PEG molecule and many report the peak of their sides to be 3-4 days after the shot. PEG IFN alpha 2b (Peg-Intron) has a much quicker onset with the peak seeming to come a day or two after the shot and diminishing right about the time Pegasys reachs it's peak.
Again, this is just a rough pattern and doesn't hold true for everyone and there is much greater variation between individuals than there are similarities.
